It's okay but not as good as some other choices
I had high expectations for the eye cream. I have suffered dark circles underneath and around my eyes for years. Unfortunately, it's hereditary and several relatives share the same condition. I've used eye creams from Mary Kay and Avon in the past. They always did a good job but I got lazy about it the past couple years. I recently started using the Definity line for my entire face and included the eye cream in my regime. Although it has slightly decreased the amount of fine lines and bags under my eyes, it hasn't lightened the dark areas as much as I would have preferred. It appears to have a concealer in it. Even if it's not a concealer, it looks like it. I have a darker complexion, so the color is too light and is very obvious on my skin. I'm also male, so I'm not crazy about the appearance of wearing makeup. Due to this reason, I stopped wearing it during the day and only apply it at night. I'm on the fence about whether I want to continue to use this only at night for the fine lines and use a different product during the day for the darkness; or whether I just want to switch to a different product altogether. I love the other Definity products. I'm just a little disappointed in the eye cream. Hopefully, Olay will at least make the cream less conspicuous on your face in the future.

Glucosamine fights sun damage - Ineffective against hereditary dark circles
Conventional wisdom has taught us over the years to never, ever, put frosted or iridescent products on skin that is no longer youthful. No glittery powder, no shimmery eyeshadow is ever going to look good on skin that has fine lines or wrinkles. You know it, I know it - it's just a fact of life.

Imagine my surprise, then, when I visited the "Olay for You" skin assessment and product recommendation website, and the Definity line of products was recommended to me based on my age (not young) and general skin condition (also not young). Definity's claim to fame is based on its "illuminators." This stuff is supposed to yield "luminous, more flawless skin that appears lit from within." OK....

I have been using Regenerist serum, and I like it. So based on the website information, I decided to try the Olay Definity Eye Treatment. I really wanted to like it too, I really did.

After using it for a month, I was not impressed. I have hereditary dark circles, which are notoriously hard to vanquish. The product has not helped at all to diminish the discoloration.

Olay says that glucosamine is supposed to diminish dark circles. Does it? I looked it up. The American Academy of Dermatology says that, "a recent study shows that glucosamine could prove to be an effective topical treatment to reverse the effects of skin cells damaged by UV exposure." (Translation: Glucosamine is effective for treating sun damage.)

Furthermore, the Academy stated, "topical application of the supplement can normalize pigment overproduction in skin cells, something which is normally due to UV exposure." (Translation: Glucosamine is effective in treating age spots caused by sun exposure.)

In other words, this stuff is not going to do a darn thing for hereditary dark circles.

And as for the illuminators? As one other reviewer stated, it's just micro-glitter, in the form of finely pulverized mica. That's the same stuff used in some kinds of frosted lipstick. Frosted lipstick shows every little line on your lips. Frosted eye cream... well, you can figure it out.

In the mean time, I think I'll use what's left in the container as a night cream for the backs of my hands.

Brightens eyes
This product does make the eyes look a little brighter. If you have dark circles, it helps reduce the appearance. I had to be really careful not to get it in the eye because it will irritate your eyes. The package is small but it only takes a little bit to get results.

Can already see a difference
I am 24 yrs old and I have very thin skin underneath my eyes. This causes the appearance of dark circles because my under-eye capillaries are visible. I also have darkness on my upper lids, around the inside-most area between my eyes. I began using this product about a week and a half ago and i can already see a difference in the color of my under-eye circles. When you first put it on you notice that it is shimmery. This is not the difference i noticed but it is another plus. I put it on in the mornings and it really helps to disguise my dark under-eye circles. It brightens the whole area. No one can tell that there is anything shimmery under or around my eyes, it looks very natural. I have stopped needing to put concealer around my eyes which is great! I have a problem with the concealer (or any kind of makeup!) gathering in the fine lines under my eyes making me look much older! This product has never settled into my under eye lines. I have been using it in both the morning and at night.
Yesterday morning, after washing my face in the shower, I realized that the darkness surrounding my eyes had lightened. It was not gone but it wasn't nearly as dark as before. To make sure this wasn't some kind of mistake, I didn't put any of the eye treatment on (or even makeup) all day and regularly checked my eyes. I did put some light moisturizer around my eyes so they wouldn't dry out but I do not believe this effected the color in any way. My eyes remained a lighter color ALL DAY. I will continue to use this product daily and am very excited to see more results. I hope that if you choose to purchase this product, you will have the same positive results as i have. I definitely recommend this product! Good luck!

Too Sticky!
This eye treatment looks pretty in the bottle, but it did nothing for my fine lines and wrinkles. I couldn't stand the stickiness of it; it NEVER soaked in and I used very little during application. At least it is fragrance-free. But it doesn't have any truly active ingredients - I don't consider glucosamine to be an active like a peptide is. I really wanted to love this eye treatment, the other Definity products seem to be OK (except Olay tests on animals).

Great clinical reference for OD/MD students, residents, and fellows. Much more useful than the previous "blue" edition without photos. Can be somewhat helpful in preparing for the OD Steps II and III boards, but it's really designed for assisting in clinical decision-making, chairside or bedside. Highly recommended.

Possibly The Best (but not the most expensive) Skin Cream Products
When I use RoC skin products, my skin looks better. If I shop in a department store, I'll spend a minimum of $200 and the ingredients in those high-dollar products aren't necessarily effective, just expensive. This product had the ingredients I was looking for. I'm getting good results. Be sure to protect your skin when you go out in the sun, even in Winter. Your skin will be more sensitive while you are treating it with this product. Also, be SURE not to use any exfoliating products while you are using it. Don't use wax on your face. It can cause some unpleasant soreness and skin eruptions. I learned that the first time. Now that I know what NOT to do, I'm getting excellent results.

it only keeps it moisture...
I've been using this cream for about 2 months. there has not been any changes at all. I like it though because it keeps my eye area moistured. I don't know if it prevents your eye-area from having wrinkles...over all it's been ok. but no reduction in fine wrinkes.

Basics for the professional and layman alike
I have read Dr. Paul's latest book. I must say that he has made a very complicated, poorly understood malady very understandable. His treatment of the basic description of macular degeneration is excellent, and his explanations of the treatments of macular degeneration are very interesting and thought provoking. As a medical professional, I must say that the book has really increased my knowledge in this area. I feel strongly that anyone will benefit from his effort, and I highly recommend this to all. not bad!!!
I usually hate cream. I hate putting creams and oily junk on my face. I dont ever put sun screen on my face. Im latin and we dont need extra oil. But as I get older Im starting to see more crows by my eyes and smile lines. So Im trying to break my bad habit of not using creams. If youre like me me when it comes to creams and lotions, then this is the product for you. I really like this product. The smell is a little weird but its not bad. I dont drink coffee and think the smell can be overwhelming some times but it doesnt smell like coffee. Its mild and goes away within a few minutes. It feels good and Ive noticed a difference around my eyes. Really good product and a even better price!!

Love this stuff
I can't find anything that isn't absolutely perfect about this eye cream...(except perhaps the pump which when I'm half the way through clogs up and I have to take the top off and scrape it out). Small price to pay for this really inexpensive product.

The scent is vanilla/coffee (and I really don't care for either scent), but it smells different than most artificially scented beauty items because it truly is 100 percent pure. The vanilla/coffee disappears very quickly.

It has the perfect consistency for both upper and lower lids, and the perfect slip for makeup (the makeup goes on right over it...perfect) I don't get the reviewer who had it in her eyes for days, but maybe her eyes are shaped differently. I don't use very much, but when I do get a little too much out I put some on my cheeks (makes a really good anything cream). I also always put some over my upper lip as I do with any eye cream to help with a few vertical lines. I was using a very high end product which I really liked (never thought I'd use anything else), and then I gave this a try, and I just can't go back.

Just had to write this review because I'm purchasing my fourth bottle.

It reduced puffy eyes for me!
I really like this eye cream. I used department store brands for years, but have been trying to reduce the amount of chemicals I put on my skin, and so turned to 100% Pure. This creams works very well. I use this in the morning first thing and it truly reduces puffy morning eyes. I like to do it right after I wash my face, but before I do my eye make up, so it can soak in. It smells a bit like coffee, but I figure that is better than artificial fragrance. All synthetic fragrances do is mask chemical odors anyway. I have used this eye cream for months and see an improvement in the appearance of the skin around my eyes. Even better, it has not created any of the little white bumps that result from clogged pores that I have experienced with well-known department store brands. I will continue buying this one!

I swear by this stuff
I really do swear by this stuff. I use it as my daytime moisturizer under makeup. It is silky smooth, highly emollient, absorbs easily, and actually takes away puffiness and visibly reduces lines almost instantly. I'm not a coffee lover, but the scent is very light and actually reminds me more of chocolate than it does coffee. A little goes a long way, but don't worry if you use a bit too much as its equally effective on those fine lines across the bridge of the nose and around the lips. Don't waste it. I don't use it for night as I'm not worried how puffy or wrinkled I look once I've washed off my makeup and would rather save it for daytime. So for those asking "Does this stuff really work?", I can honestly say YES!

The Light Under my Eyes!
I fortunately bought the MINI version of this off their website and am so glad I did! I will probably ONLY buy it in this form as it is super easy to push out of the tube. (I only note this as reading other reviews regarding the pump) The product smells exactly like their Tahiti line of body products; which makes me happy every time I use it. (sort of like vanilla coffee) I have noticed a huge difference in my eyes and am really thankful for this product. My small lines seem to disappear and the product sinks right into my under eye area. I even put it on the eyelids. I swear my under eyes look brighter and I don't even need to use my concealer! I had been using Origins similar product to no avail and decided to try this. SUPER GLAD I DID! I would recommend it in the small version (cheaper too!) to try it out. I love 100% Pure and all their products!
